Reveware (“we”) makes software, animation and games. This page explains what information our products handle, why, and what you can do about it. It covers Anachron, Director and Drill Down, and this website.
The short version: we do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we run no analytics or tracking of our own. Questions or requests go to support@reveware.org.
Anachron
Anachron is our online game. It uses Epic Online Services, run by Epic Games, for signing in and for hosting and joining matches.
When you sign in with Epic
You sign in with your Epic Games account. With your permission, Epic shares with the game:
- Your Epic account ID and display name, so other players can see who you are in a match.
- Your online presence, so friends can see that you are playing and join you.
- Your friends list, so you can invite friends from the Epic overlay.
Epic also gives the game an anonymous product user ID that Epic’s online services use to identify you inside Anachron.
When you host or join a match
- A hosted match is listed with Epic, with the host’s display name, the game version and the map, so other players on the same version can find it.
- Players in a match connect to each other through Epic’s network. Your network address may be visible to the other players in your match, as with most online games.
- Your display name and what you do in the match are shared with the players in it.
We do not keep any of this ourselves. The match listing ends when the match ends. Epic processes it under the Epic Games Privacy Policy.
On your computer
The game saves your graphics settings, logs and, if it crashes, a crash report on your own computer. None of it is sent to us automatically. If you send us a log or crash report to help fix a problem, we use it only for that and delete it once the problem is solved.
Downloading the game
Anachron is distributed through itch.io. Downloading it there, or using the itch.io app, is covered by itch.io’s privacy policy.
Disconnecting your Epic account
You can remove Anachron’s access to your Epic account at any time in your Epic account settings, under connected apps. You can also ask us to confirm or delete anything related to you by writing to support@reveware.org.
Director and Drill Down
Director and Drill Down are not open to the public yet. This section will describe exactly what each one collects, and why, before it opens. Until then they collect nothing from visitors.
This website
- reveware.org sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
- It is served through Cloudflare, which processes visitors’ network addresses to deliver and protect the site.
- Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your network address when you visit.
- If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as we need it to reply and follow up.
Children
Our products are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used one, write to us and we will delete what relates to them.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how a product uses your information, we say so before it takes effect.
